Starting a blog is kinda weird no?

If I'm being honest, I've always wanted to do a blog.

Not always about game design perhaps but alas, that is the path I've chosen in life, so I'm probably going to focus mostly on that.

But I'm also not going to limit myself to game design development. I want to have a place where I can share my thoughts, frustrations, and general things I run into in life, I suppose.

So starting with this initial post, my name is Remco Nijs, I'm a Dutch Technical Game Designer with a special interest in animation. I'm currently looking for an internship (wink wink) and I am a huge fan of martial arts and combat games.

My favorite game is Sifu and right below that is Absolver. I grew up on Absolver it was my favorite thing of all time, and it inspired me to become a game designer all of my own.

Aside from game development, I also work on martial arts in my own time. I practice calisthenics. I like cooking. And yeah. That's little ol me.

I'm currently working on a martial-arts inspired combat game that I'm developing in my own time, which I will also be showcasing in this blog, along with the things I will learn while developing it. So stick around I suppose!
